About

I’m a Senior User Experience Architect with more than 2 decades of experience primarily in large NYC based companies.

I am extremely assertive, energetic, funny, honest, empathic, analytical, and I ask a LOT of questions (when possible). I always want to understand things from a in-depth psychological point of view and I am a natural collaborator and mentor. I love to help people understand and work through whatever they are faced with or going through to feel more empowered and better about themselves - whether it be work related or personal.

My desire to understand people goes hand in hand with my desire to analyze and design and products to ensure they are easily usable and understandable by their targeted users.

I developed this mission in life growing up in Long Island, NY with a Psychotherapist father who constantly walked around the house yelling at household products “Who was this built for!?”, “Who designed this!?”, “This wasn’t built for a human!”

His constant critical angry outbursts, though excessive, were accurate and molded my critical thinking. Hence my intolerance for poorly designed interfaces was born!

In addition to my work life, here’s a few other interesting things about me:

  • I thought I wanted to become an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist but stopped short of applying to grad schools when I developed a love of website development through creating an X-Files weekly critique website.

  • I tried stand-up comedy for 3 years in NYC, and I did a 2-year Sandford Meisner acting program at the William Esper Studio.

  • I did Kung-Fu and Muay Thai martial arts.

  • I moved to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (before ever visiting) twice alone with my 3 cats – Neo, Obi-wan, and Vader.

  • I beat up a shark two years ago while snorkeling after getting bit in the hand. Not kidding…

  • I am in the process of getting my scuba diving certification.

I currently live in Long Island, NY but travel back and forth to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
